Xiaomi's Mi Mix. A phone with a revolutionary design | DoctorTech

In it's Special launch event today, in Beijing, Xiaomi launched it's well predicted smartphone Mi Note 2, which is absolutely stunning and powerful, both in looks and specs . But the device that created much of the buzz is the Xiaomi Mi Mix, a smartphone with (almost) no bezels. Mi Mix was company's concept dream, which came to reality today.

Mi Mix is a phone with a revolutionary future design, that looks amazingly beautiful, premium and dope. Mi Mix flaunts a three side bezel-free design with a screen size of 6.4 inches, full HD and a screen resolution of 2040*1080 pixels. Mi Mix comes with a 17:9 aspect ratio of its massive 6.4 inch display which is much larger than the iPhone 7 Plus has to offer, that comes in the same size.  The screen looks fluid and with slight curves at the edges, it looks never ending. The slight curves at the edges, blends the screen with the body seamlessly.
The phone is designed in collaboration with Philippe Starck,a name well known for creating premium designs for the smartphones. Mi Mix is made up of pure Ceramic and feels really sleek and premium in hands.

Screen-to-Body ratio is astonishing 91.3% in respect to its competitor iPhone 7 Plus which only manages to pull out 67.7% of screen space. To achieve this benchmark, company has to drop the physical earpiece speaker and various(proximity) sensors that are usually embedded in the front panel. Instead Xiaomi has adopted piezoelectric ceramic driver in place of physical earpiece and an ultrasonic proximity sensor, assembled behind the screen instead of the body. And for the much demanded front camera, Xiaomi managed a place for it, below the screen.

Mi Mix will also come in a special edition which will feature a 18k Gold rims around the rear camera and fingerprint sensor.

Talking about the power-packed hardware of the phone, Mi Mix will come with a 2.35GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, which is the latest and the greatest processor so far. Mix will come in two storage options, a 128GB variant with 4GB of RAM and a 256GB(18k Gold)  variant with 6GB of RAM. Mi Mix sports a 4,400 mAH battery, with quick charge and USB 3.0 support. For camera creatures, Mi Mix has a 16 MP rear camera with OIS and 4K recording and a 5 MP front (Selfie) camera with a wide angle lens technology.

Xiaomi Mi Mix will go on floors from 4th November in China with a price tag of RMB 3499 ($516) for 128GB variant and RMB 3999 ($590) for 256GB 18k Gold variant.
